London/Normandy 2016: Day 1

Happy Travelers

  Yesterday, we left the Pittsburgh airport excited to begin our trip to London and Normandy. After scanning
all our passports, checking our bags, and making it through the security checkpoint, we were finally starting the trip we've been looking forward to all year. Despite the larger size of the group, we managed to navigate the airports smoothly and successfully.

After a one-hour layover in Atlanta, we spent the next eight hours on the plane to London. The backs of the seats in front of us had screens on which we could watch movies and tv, listen to music, or play games. That feature, along with the complimentary snacks and beverages, made the long plane ride more bearable. Around 11 a.m. Monday morning, we finally arrived in London and were ready to start with the activities that were planned.
