This was our first stop of the day.
The church was named after Charles Borrromeo, a 16th century Archbishop from Milan, who was believed to have saved the people of Vienna from an epidemic. At the top of the dome, a picture depicts Charles asking God to save Vienna's population. An elevator allowed students to ride to the very top of the steeple and have a beautiful view of the city. All in all,
the church was magnificent in its beauty and extravagance.
