WJU Nursing Grad Saves the Day
WJU Students and Faculty arrived at the Pittsburgh International Airport today around 4:15 pm and embarked on our journey to Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia. During the flight from Pittsburgh to Paris, France, WJU students were treated to dinner and a wide variety of entertainment opportunities such as movies and television shows. About 5 hours into the flight, there was a medical emergency and the flight attendants called out for assistance from any passengers with medical experience. Without hesitation, newly-minted WJU nursing graduate Allison Plumy volunteered to assist in anyway possible. After assisting with the treatment of the man, she returned to her seat as if nothing happened. She made a substantial impact upon the lives of others within the first few hours of setting out.
