Vienna Day Two: The Upper Belvedere and its Gardens

At the Upper Belvedere, students saw a variety of art from different eras, including works from medieval and modernist painters. The Belvedere itself was a palace awarded to Prince Eugene of Savoy for his successful campaigns against the Ottomans.

Some of our favorite painters included Klimt -- his The Kiss is on display here -- and Monet, and we also the famous painting of Napoleon that appears in text books everywhere.

After the tour, we explored the gardens where a push up completion between Georgia and Hunter occurred: Georgia won.
